Is air quality testing necessary for new homes? What if I clean a lot?

We get asked this question quite a bit. Let’s take new homes first. In a perfect world, you’d put down your hard-earned money and move into a spotless, pristine new home, one that had no issued with air quality or other matters of cleanliness, health and sanitation. Unfortunately, when new homes are constructed in Ottawa nowadays, the builders and subcontractors can get a little sloppy (your mileage will vary).
